The Crooked Tree: Any Day is a Good Day for Crepes

I have come to the conclusion that part of the reason that crepes taste so good because many of us don't know how to make them and even if we wanted to we don't have the equipment to prepare this delectable dish. On that note even though eateries serving crepes have popped up in my home state of Hawaii I was not about to pass up the pleasure of dining at The Crooked Tree with my friend Giselle.

Not located anywhere touristy, it's a hidden delight serving both savory and sweet crepes and salads. My chicken and goat cheese crepe ($8) came with a side salad. Always best to eat hot, this crepe was tender and delicious. Crepes range in prices from six to eight dollars.

The relaxed setting of the restaurant offers limited seating with an option to dine inside or outside. Our server did not mind that we had our Think Coffee as our drinks. Always for me the test of a good restaurant is if it's worth one's repeat business and to recommend. This intimate eatery passes the test.

Visit for their complete menu. The Crooked Tree is located in the East Village at 110 Saint Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A. Hours: 11am-midnight.
