This is one of a series of posts covering aspects of the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk.

As is usual with Hawaii hotels, the view is one factor in determining the room rate. The Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk is no different. Their categories of view are classified as follows:
  • Partial Ocean View
  • Ocean View
  • City View
Despite these categories, room views can vary greatly because of the orientation of each Embassy Suites hotel tower and where other nearby hotel buildings are situated. Logic is the higher the floor the better the view.

These are the floor plans for rooms at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk from the hotel's website. The Hula Tower and Aloha Tower are 21-stories. There are a total of 301 one-bedroom and
68 two-bedroom suites.

Room rates start at about $279 per night for a city-view one-room king suite for two persons. It's possible to find rates a few dollars less but once taxes and fees are factored, that price point is easily surpassed. Added to the room rate is the Hawaii state sales tax of 4.712% and 9.25% transient accommodations tax. If booking a room with more than two guests, the hotel charges $60 for each additional adult. There is no self-parking. All parking is valet and costs $30 per night excluding tips.

All room rates include complimentary cooked-to-order and buffet breakfast and manager's reception. Both are served at the hotel's Grand Lanai. The nightly manager's reception (5:30pm-7:30pm) features a variety of cold beverages.
