A Sign to Think About at the Renaissance

This is my third stay at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel and this sign, or is it artwork, has always caught my eye each time. Depending from where you view the sign it will read with one of two statements:

ENGLISH IS HALF REDUNDANT

or

THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS ABOUT ONE-HALF REDUNDANT

Makes you think about those one-hundred word essays where you could only come up with fifty words. The hotel should sell copies of it.
