Wondering Through The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

After such filling breakfast the Wicked Spoon I decide to walk it off by exploring more of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas common on the way back to my room before heading out for the day. It's a chance to further admire the unusual design of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. (photos: TheHopefulTraveler)

MEETING FACILITIES LOBBY

Unlike the convention centers at almost all hotels on the Las Vegas Strip which are spread out over a massive floor plan, the 150,000 square feet of meeting rooms are vertically spread over three levels accommodating groups as small as ten to 5,000. The rooms are straddled between the hotels Eastside Tower and West End Tower and strategically located elevators and escalators quickly takes attendees to their hotel rooms or to dining options.

The above photo of one of the meeting room lobbies gives a feel of a sophisticated club rather than business venue. Not a bad thing at all compared to the clinical feel at other hotels. In fact the decor would be an accent for any celebrations in any of the venue's rooms.

WEST END TOWER ESCALATOR

Three sets of escalators connect guests leads guests above the casino level. This set located adjacent to the Vesper Bar carries the feel of the lounge whose ceiling elements represents clouds. These escalators feel like a journey through a crystalline interior of the cloud. They lead to the second level of meeting rooms and to the hotel's buffet restaurants the Wicked Spoon.

RECEPTION LOBBY NOOKS

Across from the reception lobby are these nooks with luxurious seating that offers a private space to people watch. An old-fashioned working house phone adds the quirky piece of decor while the nook is lit by a chandelier.

EASTSIDE TOWER LEVEL-THREE RESTAURANT LOBBY

The third level of the Cosmopolitan's Eastside Tower houses eight of the hotel's restaurants. But the design of the this lobby gives the feel of an urban playground and gathering place. It's a place to hangout before or after sampling any of the restaurant's fine foods.

A swirling stained-glass like light feature winds it above above the entire level. One corner hosts a pool table that becomes the location of impromptu games surrounded while a mix of cushions lounge chairs,  couches coffee tables are generously grouped on this floor.
