Wraparound Terrace Suite CORNER OFFICE at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

What could have been a corner with no purpose and filled with unnecessary furniture, the designers of the Wraparound Terrace Suite at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has turned it into a "corner office".

It's the combined elements that turn this corner of the open concept into a stylish office starting with wallpaper with subtle gray and silver design that frames space. The modern desk utilizes two triangle-shaped legs with elegant curves and dark cocoa for the color of the desk top and milk chocolate brown for the drawers. A multi-purpose chair of white leather and stainless steel components swivels and rolls with a frame that promotes back support.

Desk amenities include the flat screen television mounted above the desk that also serves as an electronic directory of guest services controlled by the remote. The room includes two telephones, one in the bedroom and one here. Both feature a touch screen personalized with the guest's name and room number. This screen also displays the current weather conditions and temperature along with the day and time. But guests can also turn the room's lights off and one with the touch of one button. Another button designated "beck and call" connects to all guest services such as room service and housekeeping. Need music? There's a button for that too.

Accessories include a notepad, notecards with envelopes, three pencils in bright colors of lead, pen with a highlighter, a slim light-bulb lamp and desk pad. One of the most advanced connectivity panels allows guests to plug in their laptop, camcorder, digital camera, game station, DVD, iPod or iPhone to surf the internet, view photographs or videos on the high-definition television that can also serve as computer monitor.

The designers of the suite's interior have been thoughtful about elements that could have easily been dismissed in the decision process. This included the storage of the guest directory which is hidden in its own chic case of white and orange though no case was made for the room services folder. One thing missing: wastebasket.
