The Venue: The Al Hirschfeld Theatre Banks on 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying'

(all photos: TheHopefulTraveler)
After the CD release event of the 'Catch Me If You Can' recording at the Upper East Side late this afternoon and the early curtain time of 7pm for 'How To Succeed Without Really Trying' I really didn't have time for dinner. As New Yorkers do, I bought a hot dog with mustard with a Gatorade at the street vendor just outside the theatre.

The Al Hirschfeld Theatre (formerly known as the Martin Beck Theatre) is the venue at which I have seen the most Broadway productions: 'Moon Over Buffalo' (1996) starring Carol Burnett; 'Kiss Me, Kate' revival (2000); 'Man of La Mancha' revival (2003); 'Wonderful Town' revival (2004) with Brooke Shields; 'Sweet Charity' revival (2005) starring Christina Applegate; 'The Wedding Singer' (2006) which I thoroughly loved and saw twice that year; 'Curtains' (2007) with David Hyde-Pierce; 'Hair' revival (2009); and tonight "How To Succeed".
