Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk: Room Amenities

This is one a series of posts covering aspects of the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk. This post covers some of the suite amenities. (photos: TheHopefulTraveler)

One would have expected those innocuous tropical scents for the personal care products provided in the suite's bathroom. But instead the hotel offers the more subdued scent of avocado, olive and basil from Crabtree & Evelyn. The set includes a face bar, body bar, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner.

Internet Access is complimentary at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk. At the writing of this article, there was only free wired internet in-suite and free wireless internet in the lobby and Grand Lanai. However the hotel is in the process of including wi-fi access in-suite as well.

The coffee butler service includes a selection of Rain Forest Alliance coffee, Yamamotoyama Green Tea and Lipton Earl Grey as well as non-dairy creamer and various sweeteners. Planning to take your hot copy of coffee to go? Beverage sleeves also provided.

The Cuisinart coffee brewers for one or two cups includes disposable coffee cups perfect for taking your morning brew to go. A hot water pot is an unexpected appliance included in the kitchenette.

The GE microwave oven includes a turntable for those who choose to heat up leftover or heat up any frozen meals for some in-room dining.

The compact refrigerator is probably the most welcome of the in-suite appliances. Keep bottled water and soft drinks cold or store those leftovers for munching on the next day.

The refrigerator in this room was clean and cool with enough room to store a few days worth of bottled water and cold snacks.

Cell phones are so advanced that the alarm clock/radio seems obsolete. But at least this one let you plug in your phone to become a mini-stereo system. Also includes a built-in CD player.

These Inncomm thermostats are common in hotel rooms. Easy to read and easy to use to keep your room at your preferred temperature.
