Renaissance Hollywood Hotel: Panorama Suite

The circular feature on top of the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel that is sometimes mistaken as a revolving restaurant or ballroom is in actuality a luxury room called the Panorama Suite. Similar to a 'presidential suite', this room is 3,594 square feet with a 270-degree view of the Hollywood Hills, Hollywood Sign and Downtown L.A.

Other features include floor-to-ceiling windows, a baby grand piano, an oversized Jacuzzi in the master bathroom, a dining table for ten. The suite can be configured from one to four bedrooms.

Thinking of knocking on door of the guests occupying the room. Think again. The suite is located on the 20th floor which is an exclusive club floor only accessible by key card 24/7.

So the big question: how much is the hotel rate for the suite? Renaissance, which is a Marriott Hotel brand, does not advertise the rate. The best I could find was a 2006 New York Times article reporting the rate at the time was $7,500 per night. Must be nice if you can afford it. For the masses it's just wishful thinking.
