Jubilee Walkway from County Hall and Beyond

Other attractions have popped up at the footstep of the London Eye to take advantage of the visitor crowds. I'd largely avoid these unless you've truly run out of things to see and do in the area. Instead take a stroll along Jubilee Walkway that hugs the Thames River and stretches from Westminster Bridge.

Start from the London Eye with a view of the Marriott County Hall hotel and then an even more spectacular view of the Houses of Parliament. This is one of those iconic postcard photograph shots for London visitors.

Then follow the walkway going east for grand views of the historical sights across the river such as Big Ben and St. Paul's while taking you past arts venues on the South Bank such as the National Theatre and the Tate Modern museum all the way to Tower Bridge. This is a long distance to walk so be select about the time and sights especially where the nearest London Tube station may be.
